I receive many emails regarding self publishing and so decided to add
some information here to try and help with self publishing questions.
You are probably here because you have tried publishers and been turned
down, but still believe you have a good idea or story.
Chances are, you do.
But there are many many people all over the world thinking exactly the
same thing, and most of them will be turned away too.
You have to keep at it.
But if you still can't get your foot in the door, then self publishing,
is an option, although it doesn't come cheap..
You have to foot the bill for everything yourself. As well as do a lot
of the work in bringing your book to life.
Okay, you have a story, but you still need an illustrator. This is where
I can help.
I can take your ideas and bring them to life first of all in sketch
form. Designing the characters, working on the layout, creating a character
logo, etc.
I can help from the very start with the design to the finished colour
illustrations, through to the setup of finished pages ready for the
printer.
You will need an isbn number for your book. A number which is unique
to your book so that book stores and wholesalers can find it.
You will also need a barcode to accompany your book, to help with sales
and stock for retailers.
You will also need ways to promote and advertise your book to get it
noticed amongst the hundreds of others in the stores.
You may want a website, filled with information, artwork and details
on where to buy your book.
Posters, leaflets, banners and other point of sale material to help
promote and get your book noticed.
I can help with all of this.
Each and every client is dealt with in the strictest confidence, I will
not discuss your ideas with anyone else.
If you would like to contact me regarding your idea, please email me.
